In general, Inglewood’s Standard School Attire (SSA) policy states students must wear bottoms (pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, jumper dresses, etc.) that are navy blue, black, or any shade of khaki. All shirts must have a collar. Additionally, students can wear clean, plain jeans (no rips, holes or decorations) when paired with Inglewood spirit wear on any day of the week.
Allowed
- Skirts, shorts, skorts, dresses, etc. that extend below the fingertips
- Lightweight, hood-free jackets and sweaters
- Leggings of any color/pattern when worn under a skirt or dress
- Appropriate footwear
- Sandals are allowed, but all shoes must have a strap around the heel for safety.
- Sneakers or other athletic footwear is encouraged, but not required except for during Physical Education class
- Purses the size of a half-sheet of paper or smaller—backpacks and large purses must remain in cubbies
- Jogger pants of a khaki material only (no sweatpants or spandex jogger pants)
- Clean, unripped, plain jeans with Inglewood Spirit Wear visible
Not Allowed
- Heavy/winter coats or hoodies (must be placed in cubbies)
- Heelys or other shoes with wheels
- See-through clothing (other than tights under a dress)
- Head coverings (e.g. bandanas, sweatbands, caps, hats, do-rags, hairnets) except for religious purposes
- House shoes, flip flops, slides or other shoes without a strap around the heel
- Clothing with rips or tears
- Clothing that advertises substances illegal for children (e.g. drugs, alcohol, tobacco products)
- Clothing with language or writing that is offensive or inappropriate (e.g. profanity)
- Sweatpants
- Leggings or spandex materials without a dress or skirt that extends below the fingertips
